New information on Galal El-Behairy’s case

Finnish PEN has received new information about the case of the Egyptian poet Galal El-Behairy, who’s currently facing charges in Military Court in connection with his book of poetry The Finest Women on Earth. Unlike it was stated before, the book, although ready printed, was never officially published. This may change his situation in court. The verdict is still due tomorrow 27 June, which is Galal’s 28th birthday, so this is the time to take action:
